I arrived at Pauline’s home on 12 May 2026, when I had just arrived in Ireland. Since then, my stay has generally been a good and positive experience.
Pauline has provided me with a welcoming and comfortable place to stay during an important period of adjustment to life in Ireland. I have had good access to the house and have generally been able to use the shared facilities, including the kitchen, bathroom, shower and washing facilities, without significant difficulty. Having access to these facilities has made my stay considerably easier and has allowed me to maintain my normal daily routine.
I also appreciate the opportunity to have had a place where I could settle while finding my feet in a new country, particularly during the early stages of starting my work and establishing myself in Ireland.
As with any living arrangement, every person has their own strengths, preferences and areas where things may not always be perfect. I believe it is important to recognise this fairly rather than expect everything to be ideal. There have naturally been some differences in personalities, routines and expectations, but overall these have not taken away from my general positive experience of staying in Pauline’s home.
From 12 May until now, I would describe my stay as generally good and satisfactory. I am grateful to Pauline for providing accommodation during this important period of my transition and settlement in Ireland.
I would also like to inform Hosting Power that I will be leaving Pauline’s home on Friday, 21 August 2026 as i have found my own accommodation, bringing my stay to an end. I am grateful for the accommodation and for the opportunity to have had this place to stay while I settled into my new life in Ireland.
Overall, I appreciate the experience and the accommodation provided, and I would like to thank Pauline and Hosting Power for the assistance I have received during this period. Read more

When I moved to Dublin in 2023, I thought I was simply booking a place to stay through Hosting Power. Here’s the thing. I didn’t just find accommodation. I found a home and two people who quietly became family. My family and I were unsure at first. Living with strangers in a new country felt overwhelming. But within days, that fear disappeared. John and Fionn made space for me in a way that felt natural, not forced. They took me on my first grocery run, helped me get my Leap card, and showed me how everyday life worked. Small things, but when you’ve just moved countries, those small things mean everything.
They welcomed my food, my culture, and all my stories. They listened to my rants about university and encouraged me through my master’s. When I was sick, they cared for me the way my parents would have. Those first few weeks, I was homesick and cried more than I’d like to admit. Then slowly, without even realizing it, that feeling faded. Because the house didn’t feel temporary anymore. It felt safe. It felt steady. It felt like home. They made my first birthday away from family special. My first Easter. My first Christmas. Even my first Diwali away from home didn’t feel lonely because they made sure I celebrated and felt cared for. My stay ended, but our relationship didn’t. We still meet, still talk, still share life updates. That doesn’t happen with hosts. That happens with family.
If you’re lucky enough to stay with John and Fionn, you’re not just finding a place to live, you’re finding a safe, caring, and loving home. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts, and I’ll always be grateful for the year I spent with them.

I had plenty of storage space inside the room and was also allowed to store some belongings in the attic. I had space in the fridge and freezer and cooked many meals in her well-equipped kitchen. The house was always very clean and the views out of her kitchen/garden are unmatched. I would highly recommend a stay with Mary.

I had a lovely, welcoming stay with Damian from June-July. He was even so kind to give me an extension to my stay as I couldn’t find anywhere else to go. Damian is a sound, super kind and easygoing host who is lovely to chat to. He communicated very well to me about anything that concerns me (E.g. when I got the deposit refund back) and paying rent was easy with him. The house itself is nice and clean and it has everything you need for a nice stay. It is in a good location with bus stops nearby and the train station is not too far as well. I had an amazing time with him and his dog Lola and it was the perfect place for me to find my feet for my first internship in Dublin.

The room she rents out is very clean, the linens are great and the house is in pristine condition. There’s PLENTY of space in the wardrobe and in the room as well, not like the usual Dublin box rooms.
