When I moved to Dublin in 2023, I thought I was simply booking a place to stay through Hosting Power. Here’s the thing. I didn’t just find accommodation. I found a home and two people who quietly became family. My family and I were unsure at first. Living with strangers in a new country felt overwhelming. But within days, that fear disappeared. John and Fionn made space for me in a way that felt natural, not forced. They took me on my first grocery run, helped me get my Leap card, and showed me how everyday life worked. Small things, but when you’ve just moved countries, those small things mean everything.
They welcomed my food, my culture, and all my stories. They listened to my rants about university and encouraged me through my master’s. When I was sick, they cared for me the way my parents would have. Those first few weeks, I was homesick and cried more than I’d like to admit. Then slowly, without even realizing it, that feeling faded. Because the house didn’t feel temporary anymore. It felt safe. It felt steady. It felt like home. They made my first birthday away from family special. My first Easter. My first Christmas. Even my first Diwali away from home didn’t feel lonely because they made sure I celebrated and felt cared for. My stay ended, but our relationship didn’t. We still meet, still talk, still share life updates. That doesn’t happen with hosts. That happens with family.
If you’re lucky enough to stay with John and Fionn, you’re not just finding a place to live, you’re finding a safe, caring, and loving home. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts, and I’ll always be grateful for the year I spent with them.

The house itself was very spacious and comfortable, we had everything we needed and if you have a car it is located at a great distance from the town.
Our room was huge, warm and with really comfy beds (king size) and a desk to allow you work or study without hesitation in your room (the wi-fi was great too!). You really can't appreciate everything from the pictures. Would recommend to stay at Kay's to anyone.

As for the house’s location in Rathfarnham, I can only say it’s a great, quiet, and safe area, with excellent access to downtown and other areas of interest like Dundrum.

Patricia has always been kind, welcoming, and helpful, creating a warm and friendly environment from the very beginning. The house has consistently been clean, tidy, and well maintained. I have especially appreciated the harmony, respect, and peaceful atmosphere within the home, which has made my stay both comfortable and enjoyable.
The only disappointment is that I will only be able to stay with Patricia until 5 September, as her accommodation is already booked and I will not be able to extend my stay until 15 January 2027 as I had hoped. If it had been possible, I would have gladly continued staying with her for the remainder of my time in Ireland.
Overall, I am very grateful for the positive experience I have had during my stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation to others and would like to thank Patricia sincerely for her hospitality, kindness, and support.

I had a comfortable and pleasant stay at Geraldine's studio. The space is very well equipped and I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Having the washing machine and dryer inside was a really practical and convenient touch. The kitchen was well stocked, the internet connection was reliable throughout, and the towels, bedding, and general amenities were all taken care of.
Given the proximity to the sea and the general dampness and cold of the Irish climate, I asked Geraldine if she could provide a dehumidifier. She was very gracious in doing so and it made a real difference to the comfort and feel of the space.
The area is really lovely, peaceful and quiet with a strong family atmosphere. It is a great base for walks to Bull Island or St Anne's Park, and the DART is very close by, getting you into the city centre quickly and easily.
I felt safe and at home throughout my stay. Geraldine is a warm and attentive host and I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a comfortable, well located place to stay in Dublin.

During my stay, Angela has always been so kind and nice to me. The house was clean and the room was as described. Furthermore, Angela was always available and willing to help.
The house is very nice and has everything you need. The family is respectful and very kind. Nearby, there is a shopping centre, supermarkets, and a gym. I’m very grateful because they made my stay very easy. Highly recommended.
